Spring 2010!

Oh how I love thee, spring!!! :) A promise of new life and new blooms.. Sunshine, warmth, and happy days..

A robin in my backyard and I was able to get pretty close to it! Fortunately, my cat was inside the house!

Buds of green = tree of life!

Geese on the farm..

I know! a crow?? who wants pictures of silly crows??! I just loved the branches and the warmth of the setting sun!

Love the backlighting on this cow - just made the picture more interesting..

Aww! I love calves! Reminds me that every creature needs a mother who would love them unconditionally.. Growing up on a farm, calving season was one of my favorite scenes.. Watching them frolick and bounce around the pasture was just a sight for me to behold for always!

You are still remembered, Don. We miss you so much!

Animals, birds and trees

There's something about SPRING that brings out all the animals and birds of the Earth. They are AMAZING if we stop and take a moment and watch those creatures do their thing and allow us to be in nature with them. (did that make sense?) These photos were taken on two separate evenings.. One when I drove aimlessly and another when I walked around..

Anybody know what kind of birds these are??

A chickadee (?)

Oh to soar like this.....

Just love the rays of setting sun seeping through this tree!

Ain't this calf a darlin'??!!

April 2009

I love being in the outdoors in all weather conditions. A misty morning, a late evening sun, a noonday fair, a rainy day.. oh the possibilities that can be captured on my camera!

For some reason, I love barbed wires! :) one with cow hide and one with a raindrop!

A super close up of an old fence!

February/March 2009 Randoms

Hi! Sorry I have not posted recently! I have been busy photoshooting! Here's some photos to tide you over until I post more!! This tractor scene is one of my favorites! Brian Dykstra driving the tractor.

This amazing owl was hanging around Wild Rose Ranch on February 7th to 9th - coincidence with Emma's arrival. Hmm! :) Watching over us eh Great Grey Owl?

I just love the texture of the snow on this smooth landscape and how it sparkles!
